    Recreation Guide Fall/Winter 2010

    The City of Oakley is proud to announce the release of its Fall/Winter 2010 Recreation Guide!! Featuring community activities and classes for all ages, this guide gives the details on everything you need to make the warm weather fun!!
    Complete with class descriptions, contact information, and location details, this guide will become your new best friend. Click here to download the new guide. Hard copies are being mailed out to residents.  Additional copies are available at City Hall at 3231 Main Street.

    Classes are periodically available, such as:

    Adult Programs Adult Sports & Leagues

    If you are interested in meeting with others who share your love for sports and a competitive edge, then register for Adult Softball or just come open gym basketball.

    Art and Craft Classes

    Don't miss out on all the fun found in our arts and crafts classes. Classes range from beginning crocheting to exploring art.

    CPR

    Whether you are training to become a lifeguard, want to become a better babysitter, or are a stay at home mom, we have a class tailored to fit your needs. With three different specialize courses, these CPR classes will train you to handle tough situations and how to save a life.

    Dance Classes

    Learning to dance is fun for all ages.We offer ballroom dance, ballet and tap classes.

    Martial Arts

    The Oakley Recreation Department provides martial arts classes in multiple different styles including: aikido and karate.

    Fencing

    Learn the ancient art form of Fencing. Classes are available for ages 8 and up.

    Hunters Safety Course

    Upon successful completion of this three (3) day course, participants will receive a Department of Fish and Game Certificate.

    Fitness

    All abilities are welcome to join our Pilates Class. This class will help improve strength, flexibility, core stability and posture.

    Seniors

    Our current Recreation Program has many classes can enjoy. Look throughout the guide and see what interests you, plus click here to go to our Seniors section to see what other organizations and activities are available in our community.

    Parks

    Our parks are equipped with amenities ranging from large lawn areas to basketball courts to BBQs. Use our Park Matrix to see what features are located at a park near you. Planning a fun-filled day at an Oakley Park is only one step away!!

    Volunteer Opportunities

    Make a difference in your community!! The City of Oakley currently has volunteer opportunities for:
