A talk by David Pressman, Patent Attorney
In recognition of August as National Inventor's month, David Pressman, a patent lawyer and author of the world's largest selling patent guide, "Patent It Yourself" (Nolo, 14th ed., 2009) will discuss what an inventor should do when an invention is made and how to initially protect any creation.
His talk will cover how to determine if the invention is commercially viable, when to build a protype and how to determine if it's patentable. He'll also cover the three types of patents, when to file a patent application and how to do it yourself and use a patent attorney.
